If you are a CPA, you can try to become a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and advise clients on insurance, retirement, employee benefit, investing, and estate planning measures.
You can become a Registered Investment Advisor and provide investment advice to your clients, but you will need a broker to sponsor you for the Series 7 and other exams if you plan to sell securities.
